"The Providence of God" By Jimmy Dodd

The service this morning was awesome to say the least! The Holy Spirit I think spoke to every heart this morning through Jimmy Dodd. The CD's of the service were sold out before the last service and they took back orders at the end.

Text: Romans 8:28

#1. GOD IS IN CONTROL

For those who follow Jesus, either this verse is true and every tragedy is ultimately a blessing or God is a liar and the word of God is not true.

**The Promise: God is in control!!

#2. AN ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE

The bad things that happen in this life are short term. God did not promise this life would be easy. In fact, He said just the opposite.

**The Perspective: Every single thing that happens, God is working into a plan for our good and for his glory!

#3. A LOVING GOD - THE HOPE OF THE GOSPEL

The calling is the effectual calling of the Holy Spirit by which He convicts us of our sin and shows us the need we have for Jesus.

**The Plan: God is totally helpful. We are totally helpless.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Key Words - WE KNOW that in ALL THINGS....ALL!
